A 24-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV Tuesday night in the area of Pape and Lipton Avenues, just north of Danforth Avenue. The SUV was driven by a 17-year-old, who ran a red light signal.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 8:22 p.m. The driver of the SUV initially fled but returned to the scene a few hours later, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
