A 61-year-old man was critically injured after being struck by a white Ford cube van at a Shell gas station in North York around 5:30 a.m., according to Toronto Police. The incident occurred near Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue West.
Investigators say the pedestrian was lying in the driveway when a 19-year-old driver turned into the lot and hit him. The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police confirmed the driver remained at the scene.
