A pedestrian was hit by a car in downtown Barrie on Wednesday morning. Barrie Police Service responded to the call around 8:30 a.m. and arrived at the scene to find that the pedestrian had sustained a minor injury.

Peter Leon, communications coordinator with Barrie police, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway. Authorities are advising drivers to avoid the area around Marshall and Innisfil Streets while the investigation continues.
