Beckworth Avenue in London has been closed after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Emergency services were called just before 4:30 p.m. to reports of a man being hit by a paratransit bus on Beckworth Avenue, between Lancaster Street and Langton Road. The man, who was reportedly on a motorized scooter, was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the bus remained at the scene, according to police. Authorities are advising drivers to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
