Guelph police have shut down a major intersection following a collision involving a pedestrian and a transport truck.

Officers were called to the intersection of Gordon Street and Stone Road around 5:40 p.m. after reports of a pedestrian being struck. The area has since been closed to traffic while police conduct their investigation.

Police have not released details on the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries, whether other vehicles were involved, or how long the intersection will remain closed. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
