Ottawa paramedics say a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Rideau Street Friday night.
The collision happened near the intersection of Rideau and Nelson streets. Paramedics transported the injured person to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
Ottawa police temporarily closed Rideau Street between King Edward Avenue and Friel Street following the crash. The roadway reopened before 9 p.m.
