Service on the Richmond Hill GO line was heavily disrupted Tuesday afternoon after a person was struck by a train south of Oriole GO Station.
Police closed the affected section of track while they investigated, bringing rail traffic through the area to a halt for several hours. The stoppage led to delays of up to about 50 minutes for commuters.
Metrolinx later confirmed the investigation was completed in the evening, and service began returning to normal.
