Lakeshore West GO train service was disrupted Saturday night after a person was struck by a train west of Long Branch GO station in Mississauga.

Emergency crews were called to a railway crossing on Ogden Avenue, south of Fourth Street, shortly before 8 p.m.

Commuters on the Lakeshore West line faced significant delays due to train cancellations and service changes. GO buses are being used as an alternative, running express between Port Credit and Kipling GO stations. Passengers can connect with the TTC at Kipling.

The circumstances of the incident, including the condition of the person involved, have not been released. Peel Regional Police are also investigating and have closed Ogden Avenue between Fourth Street and Lakeshore Road East.

Regular GO train service resumed shortly before 10 p.m.
