Police in South Simcoe are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Bradford after a pickup truck struck a restaurant early Sunday morning and the driver fled the scene.

Officers say the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. near Holland Street West and Summerlyn Trail. Investigators report a black Ram 1500, believed to be a 2021 or 2022 model, left the roadway, crossed a sidewalk, and collided with a McDonald’s restaurant before driving away.

Police believe the vehicle likely sustained significant damage to the front driver’s side, along with some minor damage elsewhere, and may have exited the area via Langford Boulevard.

Debris, including parts of a headlight, front bumper, and fender, was left behind at the scene and has been collected as evidence. Officers say identifying marks on the recovered components may help trace the vehicle.

South Simcoe Police are asking witnesses or anyone with surveillance footage to come forward, while also urging the driver involved to contact investigators.
