A pickup truck caught fire Tuesday evening along Muskoka Road 118, sending thick black smoke into the sky over Muskoka. The Muskoka Lakes Fire Department, along with crews from Milford Bay and Port Carling, responded to the scene and extinguished the heavy flames.
The road was closed for about 30 minutes during the operation. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
The Ontario Provincial Police have taken over the investigation. Fire officials are reminding drivers to slow down and move over for emergency vehicles.
