A pickup truck crashed into a home on Riverside Drive near Pierre Avenue on Friday evening. Police were called to the 1100 block near Langlois Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. A westbound driver reportedly suffered a medical episode, causing their truck to veer into oncoming traffic, clip another vehicle, and then hit a nearby house.

The driver, the truck’s only occupant, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second damaged vehicle—a grey SUV—was also found at the scene. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services reported that no one inside the home was injured.

According to John Smith of Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, the department’s urban search and rescue team stabilized the home’s roof and porch after the impact. Windsor police are continuing to investigate the incident.
