Ontario Provincial Police have identified the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Monday morning on Mount Elgin Road near Ingersoll.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 9 a.m. after a pickup truck left the roadway and struck a concrete bridge embankment west of Dereham Line.
The driver, a 73-year-old resident of Tillsonburg, suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Mount Elgin Road was temporarily closed between Culloden Line and Dereham Line while investigators examined the scene but reopened later in the afternoon.
