A fatal crash involving a pickup truck and a transport vehicle shut down a stretch of Highway 7 east of Kaladar late Friday night.
Ontario Provincial Police say the collision occurred just before 10 p.m. and involved a head-on impact. The pickup truck driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene. The transport truck driver was taken to hospital with injuries.
As of Saturday morning, Highway 7 remained closed between Highways 38 and 41 while police continued to investigate the cause of the crash.
