Ottawa Police Service is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday afternoon in the city’s south end. Emergency crews responded to the incident at 4:40 p.m. on Bank Street, south of Rideau Road.
Ottawa Fire Services spokesperson Nick DeFazio reported that the primary collision involved a pickup truck and a cube van. After the initial crash, the cube van continued north and struck three parked, occupied vehicles.
Firefighters used specialized tools to free a passenger trapped inside the pickup truck. Multiple occupants from both vehicles were assessed and treated for injuries on the scene.
While the vehicles sustained significant damage, police confirmed that only minor injuries were reported. The investigation is still ongoing, according to a police spokesperson.
