A serious collision involving a pedestrian in Elmira on Wednesday evening prompted a temporary road closure and an ongoing police investigation.
Emergency crews responded shortly after 5 p.m. to the intersection of Arthur Street North and Church Street East, where a Chevrolet struck a 54-year-old man. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital outside the region.
