A police car was involved in a crash Sunday morning in Etobicoke, Toronto police reported. Officers were responding to a call at 9:38 a.m. near The Queensway and Kipling Avenue with their emergency lights activated when the collision occurred.
The crash caused a traffic light pole to fall, temporarily disabling the lights at the intersection. The officer in the police car was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but no other injuries were reported.
By 1 p.m. Sunday, police had cleared the scene, and no further updates were provided.
