A man from Prescott, Ontario, has been charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 416 in Ottawa. Emergency crews were called to the scene of a rollover near Hunt Club Road just before 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) suspected the driver had been drinking, and a roadside screening test confirmed their suspicion. The driver was taken to the detachment for a breath test, where he registered more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

The man now faces charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle, impaired driving by alcohol and drugs, and impaired driving by blood alcohol concentration (over 80). His driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
