A 65-year-old man from Puslinch is facing criminal charges after an incident involving Ontario Provincial Police earlier this week.

Police say the man’s vehicle left the roadway and ended up in a ditch on Brock Road in Puslinch Township around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. An OPP officer who arrived to assist became concerned that the driver may have been impaired.

According to police, the man refused to provide a breath sample when requested and later attempted to offer a bribe to the responding officer. As a result, he was charged with bribery of an officer and refusing to comply with a lawful demand.

In addition to the charges, the man received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and his vehicle was seized for seven days.
