A 25-year-old man from Saint-Hubert, Quebec, has been charged following a collision in East Hawkesbury that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the crash on County Road 10 shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday. Investigators determined the collision occurred when an eastbound passenger vehicle turning into a private driveway collided with a westbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in court in August.
