A Toronto OPP officer suffered minor injuries after a patrol vehicle was struck on Highway 401 Friday morning.
The incident occurred near Whites Road as the officer was attending an earlier collision in the eastbound lanes. While the cruiser was stopped at the scene, it was hit from behind by another vehicle.
Police confirmed the officer’s injuries were not serious, and no additional major injuries were reported. Traffic was slowed briefly while emergency crews responded and cleared the area.
OPP later reminded drivers to remain cautious, noting that despite improved road conditions following Thursday’s snowstorm, vigilance behind the wheel is still essential.
