A house under construction in Greater Sudbury’s Minnow Lake area was damaged by fire early Thursday morning. The blaze began around 6:30 a.m. at a property near Howey Drive and Somerset Street.
Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell said crews from four stations responded, and the fire was brought under control by 8 a.m. The cause remains under investigation, though it is not considered suspicious.
A damage estimate has not yet been determined. Police have closed the surrounding roads to allow firefighters to continue their work at the scene.
