Firefighters responded to a garage blaze on Dominion Boulevard in Windsor on Saturday night that spread to nearby structures before being contained.

The fire began in a detached garage in the 3100 block and extended into a single-storey home as well as the attic of a neighbouring house. Fire crews were able to bring the situation under control, with support from Windsor police, paramedics, Enbridge Gas and Enwin Utilities.

Damage to the primary home is estimated at $350,000, with another $20,000 in losses affecting a nearby property and a vehicle. The cause of the fire has not been determined, though officials confirmed it originated in the garage.

No injuries were reported. However, five residents from two homes were forced to leave due to the damage.
