A major townhouse fire in Kitchener’s Huron Park neighbourhood displaced several residents late Thursday night.
Fire crews were called to Tudor Street at approximately 11:10 p.m., where they encountered heavy flames and thick smoke coming from a row of townhomes. According to fire officials, flames had already spread through the roof when firefighters arrived, prompting a rapid response to bring the blaze under control.
The fire affected a four-unit townhouse building, with the two centre units suffering the most significant damage. All residents were safely accounted for, and no injuries were reported.
Several occupants have been displaced and are being assisted with temporary accommodation. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire, with assistance from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office.
