A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred in Thames Centre early Sunday morning, prompting a lengthy road closure. According to Middlesex OPP, a vehicle heading west on Breen Road failed to navigate a curve, left the roadway, crossed a grassy area, and became airborne after hitting a berm before landing in a ditch.

The collision happened just after midnight, leading to the closure of Hamilton Road at Breen Road for nearly 12 hours. The road reopened late Monday morning. One person died as a result of the crash, and the cause remains under investigation.
