A portion of Wellington Road 18 in Fergus was closed Saturday evening after a serious multi-vehicle collision. Ontario Provincial Police announced just after 6:15 p.m. that the roadway was shut down between Wellington Road 26 and Sixth Line while emergency crews responded.
The number of vehicles involved has not been confirmed, and police said those at the scene were being checked for possible injuries. Motorists are being urged to stay clear of the area and seek alternate routes.
