A house near Rockwood was destroyed by a fire Tuesday night. Milton Fire crews were called to the property on First Line Nassagaweya, just north of Side Road 28, around 9 p.m. and arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
All residents managed to escape safely, according to Deputy Fire Chief Matt Townsend. Approximately 30 firefighters responded, working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.
The home was declared a total loss. Fire officials continued investigating the cause of the fire into Wednesday morning.
