A fatal crash occurred in London on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old scooter rider.
At around 4:20 p.m., police reported that the scooter collided with a paratransit van on Beckworth Avenue, between Lancaster Street and Langton Road. The rider was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the van remained at the scene, and the investigation has been handed over to the Road Safety Section. Authorities are asking anyone who was in the area between 4:10 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. or anyone with relevant footage, such as dashcam or security video, to come forward. While the roads were closed during the investigation, they have since reopened.
