Toronto police are investigating an incident in the Wychwood area after a man on a scooter was injured on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred near St. Clair Avenue West and Arlington Avenue, just west of Christie Street, shortly after 1:15 p.m.

Initial reports suggested a possible collision involving the scooter. Paramedics transported the male rider to the hospital, initially stating that his injuries were serious and life-threatening. However, police later clarified that the injuries are now believed to be non-life-threatening.

The cause of the incident remains unclear. Police are still trying to determine whether the scooter collided with a vehicle, as no vehicle has been located at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that they are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the event.

As of now, westbound St. Clair Avenue is closed at Rushton Road while officers work at the scene. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
