Ontario Provincial Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a deadly pickup truck–pedestrian collision in Kapuskasing on Monday.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at Riverside Drive and McPherson Avenue. A 78-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
Riverside Drive remained closed for about 10 hours while investigators examined the scene. The OPP’s traffic incident management and enforcement team is assisting with the case, and anyone with information or dash-cam footage is urged to contact the James Bay detachment.
