Niagara police are investigating a serious crash in Lincoln over the weekend that left a motorcycle driver and passenger with life-threatening injuries.

The collision occurred just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, when a white 2022 Hyundai Tucson and another unknown vehicle were both heading west on the North Service Road near Bartlett Road North. Police say the Tucson’s 22-year-old driver collided with an oncoming black 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle before leaving the road and coming to a stop in a nearby field.

The other vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene, heading toward Hamilton, and neither the vehicle nor its driver have been identified.

The 41-year-old male motorcyclist and his 46-year-old female passenger were rushed to an out-of-town hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking the driver of the other vehicle, as well as any witnesses or individuals with dashcam, surveillance, or other relevant footage, to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009089, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
