Emergency crews responded to a serious two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Highway 10 near Markdale. Grey Bruce OPP received the call shortly before 8:30 a.m. regarding a collision at Sideroad 70 involving a school bus and a pickup truck.
Two students on the bus were taken to hospital, while the pickup truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a trauma centre in London.
Highway 10 was closed between Sideroads 60 and 80, and Sideroad 70 was shut down between East Back Line and West Back Line as responders worked at the scene. Police asked drivers to avoid the area and encouraged anyone with information or video to come forward. All affected roads have since reopened.
