A major crash involving a tanker truck and several vehicles led to a temporary closure of both directions on Highway 401 near Avenue Road.
The crash occurred late Friday night. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that all lanes were initially shut down between Allen Road and Avenue Road while emergency crews responded.
By early Saturday morning, the eastbound lanes had reopened, but the westbound lanes remained blocked. One individual was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
All lanes on Highway 401 has been reopened as of 10:19 a.m.
