Ontario Provincial Police report that a man suffered potentially life-altering injuries following a serious single-vehicle crash in Fort Erie on Wednesday morning.
Investigators say the driver lost control on Highway 3 between Bernard and Barker avenues, causing the vehicle to roll over and bring down a hydro pole before hitting a tree that had already fallen during a recent storm. The driver was alone in the vehicle at the time.
Highway 3 was temporarily closed while police investigated but has since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
