A fatal house fire in Kincardine Township has left one man dead and prompted a multi-agency investigation.

South Bruce OPP, along with fire crews and paramedics, responded shortly after 4 a.m. Friday to reports of a structure fire on North Line. Emergency responders arrived to find three buildings engulfed in flames.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, but during a search of the property, they located an adult man who had died at the scene. His identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The South Bruce OPP crime unit is investigating, with support from forensic identification services and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal.
