Eastbound Highway 407 in Brampton has reopened following a serious two-vehicle collision that left one person with critical injuries.

The crash occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Mississauga Road. One driver was rushed to a Toronto-area trauma center with life-threatening injuries, while the second driver was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The eastbound lanes were closed for several hours for investigation and cleanup but have now fully reopened.

Update – The person who was critically injured, a 31-year-old Toronto man, has died from his injuries.
