A 64-year-old Barrie man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Fairview Road Monday afternoon and was flown by air ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre.
The crash occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. north of Harvie Road. The second driver, a 62-year-old Barrie resident, was not hurt.
Fairview Road remained closed for about six hours while emergency responders and collision investigators examined the scene before reopening at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Police continue to investigate what led to the collision.
