A slippery morning on roads outside of Guelph led to three separate crashes, causing delays for commuters.

The first incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. when a utility van left Wellington Road 32 near Speedvale and struck a hydro pole. Crews later removed the pole, and no injuries were reported.

Shortly after, at about 7 a.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on Speedvale Avenue between Wellington Road 32 and Elmira Road. One driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, but no charges were laid.

The third crash, also involving two vehicles, happened around 7:30 a.m. on Wellington Road 32 between Speedvale Avenue West and Highway 7. No injuries were reported, but a 24-year-old Guelph driver was charged with careless driving.
