A woman is in critical condition after a collision between a pickup truck and a small SUV in rural east Ottawa on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 4:40 p.m. on Russell Road near Leitrim Road. Emergency responders said the woman, who was driving the SUV, sustained life-threatening injuries.
Two children, both younger than six and travelling in the SUV, were transported to hospital with stable injuries. The pickup truck driver, an adult man, was also taken to hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
