A 23-year-old man is facing multiple charges after a three-vehicle collision in Caledon left several people injured over the weekend.
Ontario Provincial Police said the crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. Sunday on Highway 10 near King Street. Investigators allege one of the drivers ran a red light and was operating a vehicle without a valid permit at the time of the collision.
Three people travelling in one of the vehicles were transported to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The investigation prompted the temporary closure of Highway 10 for several hours while officers examined the scene.
Police have charged Peter Wardi, 23, of Etobicoke, with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failing to stop at a red light, and driving without a currently validated permit.
