A 19-year-old man from Shallow Lake has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving after crashing his vehicle into a ditch in Meaford. The single-vehicle incident occurred around Wednesday afternoon on Grey Road 18 near Sideroad 15.
Following the crash, the driver received a 90-day licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound early next month.
Grey Bruce OPP are reminding the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911 in emergencies or 1-888-310-1122 for non-emergency reports of unsafe driving.
