Ontario Provincial Police say a Stittsville man is facing several charges following a two-vehicle crash that injured four people, including two children, in Beckwith Township.
The crash happened at around 4 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 15 at Beckwith 9th Line, about 27 kilometres southwest of Stittsville.
Police said both drivers and both children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Prior to the crash, both the OPP and Ottawa police received reports of a vehicle that was being driven erratically, the OPP said.
One driver was arrested at the scene of the crash and charged with failure to comply with a breath demand, impaired driving, dangerous driving, criminal negligence causing bodily harm, failure to stop for a red light, driving while under suspension, driving with liquor readily available, and driving with liquor in open baggage.
The accused will appear in court in Perth in September. In the meantime, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
