A small plane crashed in a field near Monarch Park High School in Toronto on Monday evening. Emergency services were called to the area near Felstead and Greenwood Avenues just after 8 p.m. The plane came down near the soccer field and the parking lot near the grand stand.

Three occupants, all in their mid-30s to 40s, were aboard the aircraft, but fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Toronto Fire Services responded to the scene, dealing with a fuel leak, but assured that the situation was under control and there was no threat to public safety.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and Transport Canada will be taking over the probe.

Toronto Fire Chief Jim Jessop confirmed that the crash occurred while civilians were playing soccer on the field. One witness, who was playing soccer at a nearby field, described seeing the plane flying unusually low before hearing a loud crash.

Authorities are working to determine the cause of the crash, and further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
