Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a deadly snowmobile collision that occurred Saturday evening near Brantford.
Police say a snowmobile and another vehicle collided on Brant County Road 18, between 6 School Road and Highway 54, at approximately 5 p.m. The snowmobile operator was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and later died.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and stayed at the scene. Authorities have not released additional information, including the victim’s identity or what may have caused the crash.
The roadway was closed for several hours and reopened just after 11:30 p.m. OPP are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
