Ottawa police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on River Road near Doyle Road in south Ottawa. Emergency crews responded shortly after 1 p.m. One driver was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died, while the other suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
River Road remains closed between Rogers Stevens Drive and Cedar Drive, with no access from Doyle Road. Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact the Fatal Collision Unit or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
