A 42-year-old man from the Sudbury area is facing several charges following a late-night crash on Highway 17.
OPP say the collision involving two vehicles happened around 10 p.m. on April 7 along Highway 17. Although no one was hurt, one of the drivers fled before officers arrived.
Investigators later found the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was taken to an OPP detachment for additional testing. As a result, he now faces several charges, including leaving the scene, dangerous driving, and two impaired driving-related offences, one tied to having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
Authorities also issued an automatic 90-day licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for seven days. The man has been released from custody and is set to appear in court on May 20.
