Police are investigating a violent incident where a suspect allegedly attempted to kill their partner by driving a vehicle into them on Worthington Street East in North Bay. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 16 after a confrontation between the two individuals.

Following the altercation, the victim was struck by the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries, requiring immediate hospitalization.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene, arrested, and is currently being held pending a bail hearing. The charges include attempted murder, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, assault, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and failing to remain at the scene.
