Police are searching for a suspect after an ATV rider was seriously injured in an alleged intentional hit-and-run following a house party in Fort Erie, Ontario, early Sunday morning.
Niagara Regional Police responded to a collision near Netherby Road and Winger Road around 12:30 a.m. Investigations revealed that after an altercation at a nearby party, a man in a grey Volkswagen Jetta deliberately struck an ATV rider before fleeing on foot.
The injured man, a 32-year-old from Thorold, suffered serious injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency crews before being taken to a hospital outside the region. Despite a canine unit being deployed, the suspect was not found.
The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Baylee James Lemoine, wanted for failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
