Ontario Provincial Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Guelph Line on Thursday afternoon, which prompted a search for a suspect.
The crash was reported around 1:20 p.m., with minor injuries sustained. Police say one individual fled the scene on foot. Officers conducted a search but were unable to locate the person.
The incident briefly closed two eastbound lanes while vehicles were cleared and the initial investigation was conducted. All lanes were reopened by 2:16 p.m.
OPP continue to investigate both the collision and the suspect’s whereabouts.
