Almaguin Highlands OPP is requesting public assistance in connection with a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a pedestrian in Magnetawan.
The incident occurred on June 4 between 8:00 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. on Highway 510 southbound near Arrow Drive. Emergency responders attended the scene, but the vehicle involved had already departed before officers arrived.
Investigators believe the vehicle is a black SUV that was last seen traveling south on Highway 510. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Police are seeking to identify the driver and any occupants of the SUV. They are also asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash camera footage from the area during the relevant time period to come forward and assist with the investigation.
