An unusual crash in London on Wednesday morning left an SUV perched on a hydro pole guy wire, though no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the southeast corner of Wharncliffe Road and Empress Avenue, near Jeanne Sauvé French Immersion Public School.

The northbound lanes of Wharncliffe Road were temporarily closed as emergency crews worked to safely lower and remove the vehicle. London Hydro confirmed the guy wire, capable of supporting up to 2,260 kilograms, was not damaged, and power in the area remained unaffected.

The scene was cleared by late morning, and no charges had been laid as of early Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the crash is still unknown.
